I purchased an Anker Anker PowerExpand enclosure for an M.2 NVMe running externally on a USB-c type thunderbolt connection on a Mac. In the end I had to use it without the top part of the case as it ran extraordinarily hot so much that it was dangerous to handle.The Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2 was fast but no where near as fast as a San Disk SSD Extreme. It comes up about 300 Mb/s read / write in the Anker and slightly faster in the UGreen Case.In practice it’s more than fast enough but compare that to the SanDisk Extreme (pushing 1000Mb/s) it’s still a bit underwhelming from a performance perspective.However I finally feel OK about leaving the NVMe permanently attached to the server as the UGreen case has so much better heat dissipation – I imagine because of the heat pad that’s provided.Although warm it doesn’t get overly hot and so my Anker case (which I’m surprised at) is heading for recycling.Whilst bulkier I’d definitely recommed this case over others as I expect the life expectancy of the NVMe is also likely to be longer in it.

Used this to move an existing m.2 over to a new larger Samsung m.2. Worked a treat and I had no problems whatsoever using this with Macrium Reflect.Just a shame they are so expensive for what might be 1 use. Although I can now put the old drive in here and use as a USB device.

Works perfectly and has a nice clean quality feel. Just as a warning the space for the drive is not good if you have a heatsink like the Samsung 980 Pro heatsink as it makes it too wide to fit in the slot.Other than that it is a great enclosure and a neat solution. Perfect as external storage device. Because of the width space issue I have given only 4 stars.

I am using this to backup a Mac with a spare drive I’ve got from upgrading a pc . You won’t be disappointed with the speed used to take around a hour to back up now about 10 minutes in this case I found the rubber thing to hold the drive in abit difficult to use but I won’t be changing the drive in it at all so that’s ok for me .

Se calienta en exceso probé a transferir archivos grandes pero la velocidad fue decepcionante aunque el disco nvme no era de los mejores siendo un wd blue 500 la velocidad empezó a 90 MB pero luego bajó hasta 30 MB cuando con una carcasa 35 de la misma marca con la que estoy varios años muy contento me da más de 100 constantes en discos mecánicos incluso wd Green antiguosLa devolví el mismo día
